Setting up a new Alert

You can set up as many alerts as you like, and these are free to edit and delete at any time from the main menu page. For easy management of the alerts, and for the purposes of clarity, we recommend setting up as many separate alerts as possible, rather than cramming too much information/parameters into one Alert.

The process is as follows:

-Tick the "active" box to activate. (Specific alerts can subsequently be activated/deactivated at any time using this function).
-In the "name" box, give this an allocated name. This will be the subject header in subsequent emails on this Alert. For example, "AHC bookmakers: 10 cent / 1 hour".
-In the "email" field, enter the email address to which you want to allocate emails for this specific alert. You can set up different emails for different alerts.
-Use the "general settings" function if you want to create sport-specific alerts. Keep blank for default setting to "All".
-Use the "groups" function if you want to create league/event specific alerts. Again, the default setting if left blank is "All", please note that for specific tennis tournaments the alerts need to be set up on an individual tournament basis.

NB - "general settings" and "groups" can be applied to all alerts.

You will now be given the option of selecting "Changes", "New Offers", "Arbs" and "OTB" (Off-the-Board).

1) Changes

Tick the changes box for the Alert to be specific to odds changes.

In the "Alert interval" box, enter the value in minutes for frequency of receiving alerts. A value of 0 means that alerts will be sent with zero delay, i.e. instantly. A value of 1 means any alerts will be sent in 1 minute intervals, same for 5, 10, 15 etc. Therefore, for important alerts, enter a value of zero to receive instant updates, whereas for digest emails enter a higher figure.

-Next go to the Odds Changes Settings section. Select "odds types" from any or all of 3-way, 2-way, pts (points), totals, ah (Asian handicaps).

You now have the option for setting "pct limits" or "dec limits".

Pct Limits = Percent limits These are limits based on percentage value in relation to preceding odds. For example, 1.05 is used to denote a 5% value change, 1.10 denotes a 10% value change.

Dec Limits = Decimal limits These are limits based on decimal value changes in relation to preceding odds. For example, 0.10 will be used to denote a change in value from 2.00 to 1.90, 0.15 any differential of 0.15 etc.

You now have the further option of choosing from "Change" or "Con Change" (Consecutive Change):

-Use Change option for alerts based on an immediate change in value.
-Use Consecutive Change option for alerts based on an overall change in value, but over a staggered time period, or multiple odds changes.

For Consecutive Changes, use "con max time" to set the maximimum time period over which staggered odds changes are to be taken into consideration.

For example, a decimal limit of 0.10 for consecutive changes with max time setting 1 hour, will mean that only overall changes that take place within a 1hour time period or less will trigger an alert.

Associated odds types:

3w = 3 way odds, i.e. 1x2, home-draw-away odds.
2w = 2 way odds, i.e. Moneyline, tennis etc.
pts = points, i.e. total points NFL, NBA etc.
tot = totals, i.e. total goals, Asian total goals etc.
ah = Asian Handicaps.

-Enter values into associated boxes for which you would like to set alerts.

Examples:

a) Set Alert for 10-cent Asian handicap and totals move over maximum 3 hour time period. Here you would choose the "Dec Limits" and "Con Change" option, and enter 0.10 in the "tot" and "ah" boxes. Leave all other boxes with value zero. Enter "con max time" value as 3 hours.

b) Set Alert for 10 percent sudden move across any odds type. Here you would choose the "Pct Limits" and "Change" option. Enter all "3w", "2w", "pts", "tot" and "ah" values as 1.10.

Bookmaker Selection

Finally, select any one or group of bookmakers associated with the particular Alert, using the left hand "Changes" scrollable selection box. Hold down the CTRL key for multiple selections.

Once all settings are complete, click the "update" button to save the Alert. This will now be live.

2) New Offers

-Tick the New Offers box for the Alert to be specific to New Offers which are posted by any one or group of bookmakers. The process here is very simple:

a) Enter "alert interval" setting value for frequency of receiving alerts. A value of 60 minutes will mean that you will receive a summary email any New Offers posted by your selected bookmaker or group within the last hour.

-Next go to the Odds Changes Settings section. Select "odds types" from any or all of 3-way, 2-way, pts (points), totals, ah (Asian handicaps).

b) Bookmaker selection. From the right hand "new offers" scrollable selection box, select any one or group of bookmakers for which you would like to receive notification of new offers. Hold down the CTRL key for multiple selections.

Once all settings are complete, click the "update" button to save the Alert. This will now be live.

3) Arbs

-Tick the "arbs" box for the Alert to be specific to receiving arbitrage alerts, and then use the following steps to create your settings:

a) Enter "alert interval" setting value for frequency of receiving alerts. A value of 0 (zero) will mean that you will receive emails instantly for new arbitrages which fit your criteria.

b) Now scroll down to the "arb settings" area.

-For "odds types" select 3-way for all 1x2 odds types, 2-way for moneylines or tennis. For both, hold down the CTRL key while making your selection.

-"Selected books":

Select bookmaker from the "conditional" box for bookmaker which must be present in any arbitrage alert. I.e. Select Ladbrokes as conditional bookmaker, if you would like to receive alerts for arbitrages where Ladbrokes is included.

Select any group or all bookmakers in the "market" box, to the set the group against which the conditional bookmaker is to be compared. For example:

i) Ladbrokes (conditional) vs. William Hill, Bet365, Unibet, Expekt, Centrebet (Market) will set up alerts for any situations where Ladbrokes is included in an arbitrage against any of these 5 bookmakers.

ii) Ladbrokes (conditional) vs. All bookmakers selected (market) will set up alerts for any situation where Ladbrokes is included in an arbitrage against any of the market bookmakers.

Once all settings are complete, click the "update" button to save the Alert. This will now be live.

4) OTB (Off-the-Board)

-Tick the "OTB" box for the Alert to be specific to receiving OTB alerts, and then use the following steps to create your settings:

a) Enter "alert interval" setting value for frequency of receiving alerts. A value of 0 (zero) will mean that you will receive emails instantly for your selected criteria.

b) Next scroll down to the OTB- Settings section. Select "odds types" from any or all of 3-way, 2-way, pts (points), totals, ah (Asian handicaps), hold down the CTRL key for multiple selections.

Next enter your OTB criteria as follows:

-Limit. This refers to a percentage limit of bookmakers selected that need to have gone off-the-board before you receive an alert. Enter as 0.30 (= 30%), 0.40 (= 40%) etc.
or
-Min books. This is minimum number of bookmakers that need to go off-the-board from ones selected before you receive an alert. You select 15 bookmakers, and Minimum Books value = 5. This means any 5 bookies of the chosen 15 need to go otb before you receive an alert.
-Selected books. Select as many or as few bookmakers as you like for the particular alert.

Once all settings are complete, click the "update" button to save the Alert. This will now be live.

In case of email problems etc, full logs of your specific generated alerts from the last 24 hours will be visible here
