This is a derby game that I always look forward to. Unbelievable things happen. A few years ago Torino were 0-3 down but fought back and reached a 3-3 draw. Torino are enjoying a strange season, they seldom lose and they seem tp hate winning matches (4-14-6 this far).They were in big trouble at the weekend, down 1-4 at home to Parma, but they regrouped, scored three unanswered goals and almost snatched a late win. Stellone was man of the match and once again Rosina and Stellone will go forward for Torino. Grella will probably replace the ineffective Corini in the midfield. It’s an impressive Torino bench with Recoba, Di Michele and Ventola waiting on the sidelines.

Juventus will be without Trezeguet and Zanetti but welcome back Buffon, Iaquinta, Nocerino and Zebina. Nocerino will replace the suspended Zanetti on the midfield and Iaquinta will replace Palladino up front. I thought that the Arsenal defender Clichy was Lord of the Idiots at the weekend, taking that risk in his own penalty area vs. Birmingham. However, late on Saturday night a new contender popped up, the former Liverpool midfielder Sissoko. In the 93rd minute of their match at Reggina he unnecessarily tried an over head kick in his own penalty zone, hit a Reggina player on the shoulder and Reggina were rewarded a penalty. Result - Reggina 2 Juventus 1. Juventus did not play a strong match but in the second half they looked like the only team with winning ambitions. They were denied penalties on a couple of occasions and then this Sissoko business.

I should think that the Juventus players will be extremely fired up tomorrow, looking for a swift revenge, but I expect the Torino players to be equally motivated. Surely we will some goals tomorrow with both teams on the score sheet. The odds on the home win will not do for this writer. What about a score draw! (3.88).

The Championship

Preston  -  Stoke        2.85   -  2.62
If Preston were able to dominate Portsmouth for the last forty five minutes they should have a decent chance against Stoke, the league leaders. They should at least be favourites at Deepdale (2.85). Preston drew their tricky away game at Vicarage Road against Watford at the weekend (0-0). Some luck and a good defensive display made this draw possible. Expect the same Preston squad tomorrow plus the returning midfielder D Carter. D Pugh will be back for Stoke, but no guarantee that he will put Dickinson out of the team. Sidibe and Fuller up front as usual. This will be a tough game for both sides but my feeling is that Preston will edge it (2.85).
