Ryder Cup – Saturday am fourballs. Yesterdays bet against Woods/Furyk didn’t come off. Jim Furyk played great golf, Woods, Monty and Harrington certainly didn’t. The fact that the US duo only won by one flattered Monty and Harrington, but Furyk carried Woods. The Worlds No1. looked very ordinary and it looks like his poor team/matchplay record is set to continue. On Saturday morning it is Woods and Furky vs. Clarke and Westwood and I have to go for the Europeans again. Clarke and Westwood have won 3 titles on this course, are a real team. Furyk got a bit ragged towards the end of his morning fourball with Woods and they lost the afternoon foursomes. Unless Woods can raise his game, the Europeans should win this. The bookies still have to go for Woods, despite the evidence that this not his format and the value still lies with opposing him/Furyk. 4 points Clarke/Westwood to beat Woods/Furyk @ 15/8 with Bet365 (3.00 Betfair) won 7.5 points |
