Golf. ANTE POST BET – U.S. Masters. 1 point e/w Mike Weir outright @ 100/1 with Ladbrokes and VCBet. Having been regularly opposing Weir this season, I have followed him closely and it looks like he is about to hit the jackpot very soon. No doubt he is targeting the Masters in 3 weeks time and his swing changes are coming together. He is now playing some very good golf indeed, but only for 3 rounds. He should have won the Johnnie Walker Classic in Thailand, but for a horrible 78 in round 2. He was plumb last at the half way point but finished 5th. Before that his 22nd in the Nissan was blighted by a first round 74. It seems only a matter of time before he gets all four rounds low and an in form Mike Weir is one to follow at Augusta (only 1 missed cut in 7 starts, 6 top 30’s and last four 1/mc/5/11). Arnold Palmer Invitational 5 points Robert Allenby to beat Geoff Ogilvy @ 1.88 with Unibet Ogilvy played well in the Hawaii events but then went MC/51st. His event form is very ordinary, best finish of 26th last year. Allenby is in terrific form, a touch of the choke when closing in on a win, but you cannot knock form of 5 top 10 finishes from 5 starts. He was 4th here last season and in his current form he looks a decent bet to have another high finish. lost 5 points |
