Golf  - Singapore Masters.

200 players, played over two courses for the first time, so a bit more of a lottery than usual.

1 point e/w Frankie Minoza @ 80/1 generally available.

lost 2 points

You can’t knock his recent form with 1 win and 2 runners up spots in his last 6 events. He has missed the cut here in his last two outings, but in 2001 he shot out of the blocks with a Rd1 64, followed by a course record 61 and was -17 after two rounds. He has won on the course as an amateur, won the 1998 Singapore Masters and a two time runner up in the Singapore Open. With such good recent form, on his favourite course, he could have a very good week.

0.5 point e/w Ross Fisher @ 50/1 generally available.

lost 1 point

He missed the cut last week, but that was not entirely surprising after his valiant 5th place in Dubai (held up well when paired with Tiger Woods, usually enough to destroy a young pro). He was a very impressive 3rd in this event last year and the Laguna National course is one of those horses for courses tracks on which past form is a big plus.

0.5 point e/w Remesy top European @ 40/1 with BetFred.

lost 1 point

Bit of a flyer on Remesy, but he has finished in the top 20 in his last two outings in this event and after a run of 6 straight missed cuts, he showed some form in Thailand last week with couple of 69’s on a tough course. He could well be on his way home come Friday night, but course form is very important here, so he might just get close in this market.

5 points Dyson to beat Jaidee @ evens with Centrebet (tie no bet).

won 5 points

Neither has any great recent form in this event, (2-2 event H2H) but on recent form, Dyson looks the call having finished ahead of Jaidee in 3 of their last 4 mutual events (1 tie). Jaidee has missed the cut here on his last two efforts, taking 15 more shots than Dyson over those 4 rounds.

PODS Championship

4 points Perez to beat Beem @ 1.88 with Unibet (tie no bet).

won 3.52 points

Perez let me down last week with a very poor 76 gave him little chance of making the cut, and he missed it by 1. However, overall his golf is still pretty good and he is mostly shooting low rounds. He has some reasonable course form, 7th in 2002 and 17th 2003. This can be compared to Beem who has missed the last 5 cuts here, by a long way, averaging 75 shots per round.

5 points Langer to beat Lonard @ 10/11 with SportingOdds.

lost 5 points

Langer has only played 2 events this year but with finishes of 13th and 10th, it seems the World Cup winning form is still with him. A second round 75 last week prevented an even higher finish, and his course form here in the last 3 years has seen figures of 24/13/25. Lonard was 3rd in a weak event in Mexico 2 weeks ago but struggled either side of that in stronger events (56th and 62nd). His record in Florida is not good (no top 30 finishes in last 15 starts) and Langer looks the better bet in this match up.
