The Zurich Classic of New Orleans
TCP of Louisana, Avondale.
Originally designed by Pete Dye in 2004 the course
has undergone a few changes since then and has
hosted this event in 2005 and 2007. Although quite a
long course at 7341 yards there was only a small
advantage for long hitters last year.

1.85 Stricker v
Goosen 7 units
Steve Stricker has been in very good form for some
time with nine top 10s and fourteen top 25s from
twenty three starts last year. He has played both
the 2005 and 2007 tournaments at Avondale finishing
11th last year. Retief Goosen has played well in his
last 2 tournaments but before that was completely
out of form 0,33,60,0,14,2 .This can be partly
explained by his eye surgery but that doesn't
explain his poor form of last year when he managed
only one top 10 from fourteen starts. Stricker holds
a 9-3 advantage in head to heads over Goosen in the
last twelve months.

10/11 Perez ( +1 ) v B.
Watson 6 units
Pat Perez is receiving a stroke here and has played
consistently this year, especially early on.
Although he has not played the course before he had
eleven top 25 finishes last year. Bubba Watson came
5th in this event last year but the course does not
particularly favour long hitters of which he is the
longest.

10/11 Z. Johnson ( +2 )
v Goosen 6 units
When Zach Johnson won The Masters last year it
wasn't a fluke as he followed-up with another
tournament win later in the year. As we approach The
Masters again this year he may be inspired to raise
his game as he did last week when finishing 8th.
Johnson holds a 9-4 advantage in head to heads over
Goosen in the last twelve months.

Tim Clark seems to
have recovered from his wrist injury playing well
last week to finish 12th. He had twelve top 25s
and six top 10s last year from nineteen starts. He
finished 21st on this course in 2005.
