EDS Byron Nelson Championship, TPC Four Seasons
Resort, Las
Colinas,
Texas.
There have been two major changes to the Byron
Nelson this year. The first change is only one
course will be used, Las Colinas and the second is
that it has been significantly altered since last
year. All 18 holes have been affected with over 160
trees replanted in different positions and the
over-all length of the course extended by 200 yards.
The course should be more difficult now however
course form will only be about half as important as
normal.

Evens Donald v
Immelman 5 units
Luke Donald has outstanding course form which must
count for something
despite all of the changes, 19,14,18,6,2 . Trevor Immelman may still be in
shock after winning the Masters (I know I am ! ) and
with all the media attention he may not perform at
his best. Certainly his form going into the Masters
was not good 0,65,48,40,-,0,1,-.

4/5 Scott v
Immelman 5 units
Adam Scott is a very consistent player as his
overall form hardly changes from year to year. Last
year he made 17 of 19 cuts with ten top 25s.
Immelman made only 6 top 25s and missed the cut six
times.

10/11 Jacobson v
Wetterich 6 units
Fredrik Jacobson seems to come in under the radar as
he is a good player without being noticed that much.
He didn't play in the Masters which may be an
advantage and finished a creditable 12th last week.
Brett Wetterich is over-rated by virtue of winning
this event two years ago but has poor recent form ,
-,-,-,61,-,70,0,- . He misses the cut far too often,
eleven times in 2007.

Baird v
Hoffman 5 units
Briny Baird has been
playing steady golf this season with a number of
recent high finishes 49,0,-,4,12,47,-,17 . Charley
Hoffman finished 6th in his last tournament but
before that had eight missed cuts on the trot.
Last year he missed twelve cuts compared to five
by Baird .

v Hoffman 4 units
Both Jason Day and
Charley Hoffman are badly out of form and could
both miss the cut. With the outcome like a toss of
a coin siding with the man at good odds against
looks like the value.
