The Pebble Beach National
Pro-Am
California.
This is
a pro/am event played over 3 courses with the cut occurring after 3
rounds. Unusually it is only 60 players and ties who go through to
play the final round on Pebble Beach the host course. The Pebble Beach
course can be tough as it is by the coast and exposed to the elements.
However it normally plays the easiest of the 3. Spyglass Hill is
normally the most difficult ,closely followed by Poppy Hills. Long
hitters are favoured over accurate drivers as can be seen by the
recent winners ,Love twice, Singh and Mickelson.
This
event is not to everyone's liking as the rounds can take 6 hours to
complete with the pro/am format. Poa Annua bentgrass greens are used
on all 3 courses.

yet. Last year he made 17 of 18 cuts and has good course form

but as the standard is not as high in Europe his rating has not
improved that much. He has only played the course once in the last 5
years when he came 63rd.
