The FBR Open

TPC of Scottsdale ,  Phoenix , Arizona

Formerly the Phoenix Open , this is the tournament that attracts large noisy crowds. Therefore having played here before is a definite advantage. This desert stadium course favours long hitters to an extent over accurate drivers. The course is well bunkered and water features on many holes. Greens are of Bermuda grass and above average size.

Evens       Herron          v          Kaye                   8 units

Herron has only played once this year but still managed 30th place in the Bob Hope. His course form is good having played every year for the last 5 years 23,28,56,24,4.  He had 13 top 25s and 7 top 10s last year and is a Scottsdale resident. Kaye is over-rated because he won this event  2 years ago. However last year he only had 5 top 25s and 3 top 10s.

9/10   Love            v           Kaye               7 units

Love still plays to a high standard, managing 14 top 25s and 9 top10s last year. His extra length should help on this course. Kaye was 4th last week but had a poor 2005.

Value match bet with Pinnacle             tie no bet

2.13        Singh           v             Mickelson                 7 units

Singh  is so laid back that he doesn't seem to mind all the travelling and busy schedule. Last season he had an incredible 25 top 25s from 30 starts and 18 top 10s. Mickelson won this event last year but had only 11 top 25s and 9 top 10s last year.

Perry had 14 top 25s last year from 23 starts and won 2 tournaments. Also he has had 2 high finishes in this event in the last 4 years.

Sell  DiMarco/Verplank     1.5 - 3    with IGindex

Verplank is always under-rated as he doesn't win many  tournaments. However DiMarco will be over-rated for a while after winning on the European Tour 2 weeks ago. Verplank has a good record in Phoenix  4,22,32,7,19, and had 13 top 25s last year compared to 10 by DiMarco.
