European GP – Qualifying. A very open qualifying between the top 4 lies ahead. Raikkonen looks to be the quickest but the times are close enough to mean that 2 or 3 laps difference in fuel load will make all the difference. Not a great betting medium unless you know the loads! 3 points Kubica to out qualify Heidfeld @ 11/10 with Stan James, Skybet. lost 3 points A bit of a surprise to see Kubica the outsider in this match up. He was half a second faster this morning and to me it seems the balance of speed within the BMW Sauber team has shifted very much towards the Pole in recent races. Heidfeld has had the upper hand in qualifying so far in 2007, but there is no doubt that Kubica is improving very quickly now he is used to the Bridgestone tyres. He has won the last the last 2 qualifying match ups and looks overpriced to make it 3 in a row. Perhaps the fact that Heidfeld became a father overnight might be a distraction for him. |
