Bahrain GP – Qualifying. 2 points Massa to be fastest qualifier @ 7/2 with SportingBet. won 7 points Very close between Ferrari and McLaren this morning, but it looked to me that Massa would be able to go quite a bit faster than the actual time he set. He was heading for the best time when had to slow for yellows, and then again when he made an error. Clearly there is more to come and perhaps Ferrari will again choose to run him a little lighter than his team mate. Small stakes as it is so close and so dependant on strategy. 1 point e/w Kubica to set fastest qualifying lap @ 33/1 with Stan James. lost 2 points The BMW Sauber clearly loves this track, setting the fastest time in the February/March test and being 3rd and 4th quickest this morning. Kubica has been hammered in qualifying by his team mate, but this week he is using the spare car as his race car. The team believe that there was a problem with the chassis he had been using in the first two races and this one is working much better. If BMW choose to be aggressive on fuel, they could a car in the top 3 and 33/1 on Kubica looks too big to me. 4 points Davidson to out qualify Sato @ 5/6 with Skybet. won 3.33 points Davidson was an amazing 5th fastest this morning, over a second faster than his team mate. I do not believe that is a true reflection of were the two drivers are in terms of pace, but Davidson has been very strong all weekend and is fully fit (had flu and a back injury in Malaysia), but he was 0.4 seconds faster, in FP 2 yesterday. Sato was only faster in the first practice session, the most meaningless as the track is very green and dusty. |
